I anticipate the extra fuel consumption may not be directly associated with the fuel map but because I'm having so much fricken fun with my bike. The difference is not huge - my fuel light comes on at 210kms and before I would get to around 240kms if I was doing highway riding at constant speeds. I noticed that I use slightly more fuel now. My partner rides a Hayabusa and I can finally keep up with him while managing the numbness in my hands at high speeds. Increasing the rev-limit is noticeable - so much easier to maintain speeds of 120-130kms, cruise on the highway and escape trucks etc on the highway or country roads. The bike feels so much easier to ride at high and low speeds. Engine braking is much more gentle and I no longer loose huge speed when easing off the accelerator. OMG - that jerkiness in the throttle is completely gone and the acceleration is smooth like butter. The postage from the US was as expected from postal services in a developed nation meanwhile Australia Post performs like a parcel is traveling on a camel's back - no shit, it took 10 working days despite that I sent it via express post with insurance. Once my ECU arrived at his workshop there was no delay - I immediately received an email notifying me that the product arrived, a payment was quickly processed and my ECU was immediately processed and shipped back to Australia. He was happy to answer any silly or serious questions I had along the way. Ivan's communication throughout the process was excellent. I can only commend Ivan's work and reinforce many of the comments which I read here on the forum. I have ridden around 3,000kms on my Bolt since having the ECU flash done a couple of months ago. Like other members, I would like to share my experiences of Ivan's ECU flash.
